Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria :

1. trials that recruited patients who met a clinical definition of stroke
2. trials that since year 2005
3. RCT trials
4. ADL as primary or secondary outcome measures
5. all the study trials that subjects have to be patinets with stroke
6. include only English language study (9/3 added)

Study purpose

Review purpose:

We want to know which ADL measure perspectives that researchers use to assess their participants.

關於ㄍㄟ所提到可收個案愈來愈少之情況，星期五請教了萬芳楊老師，我們討論的結果得出了一個想法 : 我們習慣星期三到萬芳收案，(因為當天有團體治療 ，所以會認為可以會有較多個案出席/可收)，這段時間其實已將這些個案收齊了，所以應該將收案時間安排在星期二或四，或許能夠也才能吸收接觸到不同的個案。

這段時間萬芳的收案將會盡量安排在星期二或四的時間去，看收案效果如何到時將會回報給老師您 (也會將此想法跟ㄍㄟ討論)。

8/25 (Tue) class has been cancelled due to no students available (Jia-Wei and Pei-Chin both of them were busy but they did ask the video clip for practicing).

Update from 萬華張主任聯繫進展

預定將 於九月二日(禮拜三) , 中午12:20~13:20分 去萬華醫院做相關之研究介紹及討論。

拜訪主要目的:

• 了解該院的病人特性與人數
• 施測環境，空間 及院方之運作流程
• 交通
• 認識醫院治療師及與院方人員洽談未來研究之收案事項
• "What they can do for us?"

洽談內容將包括:

1. 協助介紹 CAT 之發展與現況
2. 說明收案流程
3. 量表 /測驗工具的解說 (現場給予評估量表)
4. "Focus on what we are doing and their potential constribution, not the rationales"

去拜訪之前需請教老師您及得釐清的問題:

1. 有多少量表要介紹: Motor item bank / ADL perceived-difficulty item bank / FIFE/ Cognition assessment and ???
2. 幾年計畫 ? 目前合作是在第幾階段 ? 須寫計畫書嗎?
3. 合作的方式 : (1. ) 解說介紹研究目的後，希望對方同意去我們收案 (只是合作收案部分? 對方收案 such as 榮總的合作方式，還是我們的助理人員去收案?) ; (2. ) 定期寫報告回報或報告 ; (3. ) 請教萬華醫院的想法及他們想合作的方式 。

1. first search RCT for stroke patients since 2005
2. and locate the articles using the ADL measure as primary or secondary outcome measures
3. specify the ADL concepts and measures used in the articles.

English Class

8/18 (Tue) class has been cancelled due to no students available (Jia-Wei was busy but she did ask the video clip that she could practice later on ; Pei-Chin was out for clinical testing).

8/20 (Thu) - I cancelled the class because I didn't feel well. (I was having the post- operative pain fowllowing the root canal treatment).

• I handed out one video clip and script to students to let them listen to by themselves.
• And asked them if they have any questions, please feel free to ask.

• 8/21 署北 : 11 pts - 6 were excluded ( 2- refused, 2- aphasia, 1- in a rush, & 1- dementia) = 5 pts

與萬華張主任聯繫進展

• 8/19 (Wed) 第一次和萬華醫院張吉達主任聯繫，有跟主任稍微說明老師的研究也表明希望有機會親自過去拜訪解釋老師您的研究，張主任表示很歡迎，也會邀請/請示萬華醫院的副院長一起參予。張主任今天會請示確定副院長的時間後，再回電告知我拜訪的時間。
• 8 /20 (Thu) 第二次和張主任聯繫 : 他說副院長那沒問題，現在在等跟復健科醫師確定日期跟時間，因為復健科醫師要下星期一才能連絡到，所以星期一 (8/24) 張主任會再剛我聯繫確定日期。

8 /14 (Fri) 跟榮總的顏組長聯絡上，以下轉述來自於顏組長的意見及想法:

1. 希望能夠了解整體研究的內容，e.g. 題目的來源，目的, etc. (可是是 involve in 小計畫，顏組長認為上次向榮總老師所解釋的研究，感覺上太大了，她覺得榮總老師可能會負荷不了)
2. 顏組長強調的 "合作關係" 是榮總老師有 input into the study, 不單單只是收案，她希望能有他們staff 提供的臨床意見及經驗在裡面，因為她覺得有的研究太偏學術了
3. 她希望例如研究方向他們也能提供意見，她覺得加上臨床人員的意見及經驗能使研究更深入更符合臨床所須
4. 顏組長表示希望能有機會向老師您以前帶台大staff那樣的合作關係/模式

8/11(Tue) 榮總黃老師打電話來取消 Thursday 的 meeting, 因為醫院要評鑑。所以時間方面會再跟顏組長討論過確定後再決定。
